Introduction Born in Kenya, I have lived most of my life in Africa, guiding the big mountains of Africa for the last twenty-five years. My particular area of operations was the Chimanimani Range on the border between Mozambique and Zimbabwe, but I have frequently guided Mount Kenya, Mount Kilimanjaro, The Rwenzori Range, The Drakensberg and many other highland regions of Africa. I am the author of several book on African Imperial and Military history, and I retain and absorbing interest in African heritage travel.
